THE STORY SO FAR.....

Native of Taiwan, Peng-Kuei "Ben" Huang first moved to Indonesia in 1990 and later to Los Angeles, California in 1993. In 1997, he attended Pitzer College where he studied international politics. He began pursuing photography in 1999 and soon found photojournalism as his passion. In 2001 he left Los Angeles to study photography in San Francisco and earned BFA degree in 2004.

While still in San Francisco Peng-Kuei “Ben” Huang began documenting theme parks around Bay Area. It soon became his long term project for the next three years in which he traveled many parts of America capturing a cultural phenomenon that is very alien of his. This also lead to his facisnation on documenting cultural issues around the globe.

Peng-Kuei "Ben" Huang is currently live and freelance in Toronto, Canada while undergoing a long term project about Chinatown.
